T.E.A.M.S. is an organization in Shreveport, Louisiana that advocates for the education rights of students who have special learning needs, are already involved or may become involved in the juvenile court system. We are pioneering a new agency to address many of the “discarded and forgotten” youth of our society.
T.E.AM.S. is an agency that wants to unify families, schools and communities together to better support students in need! T.E.A.M.S. feels by combining all services together, a much stronger support system can be formed. When supports are separated into different pockets, no one is sure of what’s being done or even what other services are available to support the student in need. We want everyone on the same page to form a stronger support system.
T.E.A.M.S. aims to educate medical, mental health professionals, attorneys, support groups, youth groups, churches, communities and above all parents to better understand what is available for the student in need.
